Well, theres no harm in a career change and you may regret not going forward with it in the future. We have a few bits of advice that will help you decide when and how you can change your career smoothly and confidently! Dont Hold Back Many people hold themselves back because they feel as though once you choose one career you have to stick with it. Work takes up such a high percentage of your life, its important to love what you do. Its a lot more common for people to go through with career changes in this day and age, theres a lot of reasons that people want to change their career so dont be afraid that youll look indecisive or unsure.  Changing your career is very brave and although it may be a difficult transition, it may be  the best decision you ever make. Try Before You Buy Its very easy to look at others and think that their career seems more enjoyable than yours and that they  seem to get more money. Its important that you do this career change for all of the right reasons, you need to be sure that this is something that will be suited to you as an individual and that you try it out first. Tailor Your CV Before you start this career change, its important you make sure you have the right skills. Make sure you have enough skills and at least some experience to add to your CV. Your CV must indicate that you are looking to start a new career and make sure you update your CV from your previous career. If you fail to add that you are seeking a new career, your CV may look as though youve applied for the wrong job or as though you are very under-qualified. Boost your chances Expect Change When considering a career change, its important to expect that you may end up with a lower job level and salary. With your current career you may have worked yourself up to management and as you will be starting out fresh in this career, you will most probably have to accept a lower-level job. Theres a high chance your responsibilities will change dramatically too. If you are used to being in charge and now you have to report to a lot of people above you, this will take some getting used to. Make sure that you prepare yourself for the big changes that you are about to face. Now and then we all have a bit of a panic about whether we made the right decisions, sometimes we make irrational decisions and sometimes we dont act when we know we should. This is your career, as we said it takes up a lot of your life, so be sure you dont make any decisions that you will later regret. Try it out before you fully commit and then, if you are sure GO FOR IT!
